How do we know if we need a
health coach? How many of us…

…know that we should eat more vegetables and fruit? …have been told by a doctor or healthcare professional that we need to lose a few pounds? …would like to cook more meals at home? …would like to stop taking a prescription medication? …struggle with food cravings or emotional eating?

It isn’t that we don’t know what we need to do…it’s implementing it that’s a challenge. We are bombarded with an overload of information today and may struggle to sift through it all. That’s where a health coach is instrumental.

Whatever area of your health is in need of some attention, working with a health coach allows you to set aside some scheduled time to focus on your needs and receive the guidance and support necessary to experience better health. I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I focus on how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?

As we work together, we will look at how all facets of your life affect your health as a whole. It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment.

It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives can contribute to our dis-sease.

Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment.


For years, I struggled with obesity, PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome), infertility, chronic fatigue and even depression. I consulted doctor after doctor for help with my symptoms and dis-ease.  After the birth of my children, with the assistance of a personal trainer, I was finally able to lose the weight – over 65 pounds! Along with the weight, I also lost all of the fatigue, depression and general disconnectedness that I had lived with for so long. I have maintained that weight loss since 2006 and have dedicated my career to working as a personal trainer and health coach.    

I am passionate about working with women who struggle with some of these same issues – weight loss, PCOS and other hormonal imbalances, fatigue, depression or anxiety, etc. So many of us face the challenges of career and family and often our very own selves are last on a very long list of things to do. (How many of you would say you aren’t even ON the list?)

As a former competitive bodybuilder, I also enjoy working with athletes of all kinds as I assist them with their nutritional needs to better perform in their chosen sport. Nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life and it can have a tremendous impact on our performance, whether we are weekend warriors, marathon runners, or participate in competitive sports.
